Manchester Street Bridge

The Manchester Street Bridge extends 128 feet in length and features a steel camelback truss design spanning across the Baraboo River in Wisconsin.

The Milwaukee Bridge & Iron Works constructed this steel bridge in 1884 to replace a previous structure that was destroyed by flooding.

The bridge represents a significant example of 19th-century American engineering, leading to its inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.

Located within Ochsner Park since 1987, the bridge now serves pedestrians while maintaining its original structural integrity across the river.

This structure stands as one of only two remaining camelback truss bridges in Wisconsin and the sole example from the 1800s.
