Mandarin Oriental, New York, Luxury hotel in Columbus Circle, Manhattan, United States
Mandarin Oriental, New York is a hotel occupying floors 35 through 54 of the Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle in Manhattan. The guest rooms and public spaces face Central Park on one side and the Hudson River on the other, offering views in both directions.
The hotel opened in 2003 as part of the newly built Time Warner Center, a twin-tower complex that reshaped Columbus Circle. Its arrival helped turn that corner of Midtown into an address for high-end stays.
The MO Lounge showcases contemporary American dishes alongside art pieces by New York artists that reflect the city's creative spirit.
The hotel connects directly to The Shops at Columbus Circle inside the building, so reaching stores and restaurants does not require going outside. The entrance to the 59th Street-Columbus Circle subway station is also accessible from within the complex.
The pool on the 36th floor is fitted with underwater speakers that play music programmed by Jazz at Lincoln Center, the organization based in the same building. Swimmers can hear the jazz performances directly through the water while they swim.
