Hindu Temple of Central Indiana

The Hindu Temple of Central Indiana is a Hindu place of worship in Indianapolis featuring a spacious prayer hall with 17 shrines carved from granite and marble. The building was constructed with intricate stonework that demonstrates skilled craftsmanship throughout its design.

The temple began from a community congregation established in 1985, which eventually led to a building project starting in 2005 and opening in early 2006. Substantial expansions followed several years later, transforming the original structure with additional architectural elements.

The temple houses multiple deities including Ganesha, Hanuman, Durga, and Shiva, each representing different aspects of Hindu spiritual practice.
