Hissar State Nature Reserve

Hissar State Nature Reserve is a protected mountainous area in Qashqadaryo Region with varying elevations and diverse landscapes. The terrain includes several notable features, such as deep caves and a water-filled waterfall flowing through a narrow rocky gorge.

This protected area was established in 1983 by merging two earlier reserves that had been created in the 1970s. The combination of these reserves created the expanded territory that exists today.
