Pic de l'Ouillon

Pic de l'Ouillon is a mountain summit in the Haute-Tarentaise region of the French Alps with steep rocky slopes and granite formations. Marked hiking trails lead to the peak, passing through rocky terrain and high Alpine passages over several hours.

The summit served shepherds for generations as a reference point when driving their herds through mountain passes. It marks a natural boundary between different Alpine massifs.

During summer months, vehicles cannot drive the road between Les Chapieux and Ville des Glaciers, requiring a shuttle to reach the trailhead. This seasonal closure restricts motorized access to the hiking areas.
