The Etches Collection, Jurassic marine fossil museum in Kimmeridge, England
The Etches Collection contains over 2,000 specimens of marine fossils, including complete skeletons of prehistoric creatures discovered in Kimmeridge Clay Formation.
Local fossil collector Steve Etches dedicated more than thirty years to gathering specimens before establishing this £5 million museum facility in 2016.
The museum serves as an educational center where visitors examine paleontological specimens through microscopes and digital applications while learning about marine prehistoric life.
The museum opens daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, offering annual passes that allow unlimited visits throughout the year for the price of one admission.
Visitors observe the museum founder Steve Etches working directly in the laboratory, cleaning and preserving newly discovered fossil specimens.
