Cenote Noh-Mozon, Natural sinkhole in Tecoh, Mexico.

Cenote Noh-Mozon is a natural sinkhole with limestone walls containing an underground lake. The water fills an opening roughly 30 by 20 meters and reaches depths near 24 meters.

Cenotes were vital to ancient Maya communities, serving as reliable water sources across the Yucatan Peninsula. This sinkhole was one of many such places that enabled settlement and survival in the region.

The name comes from Maya language, meaning "great hole." Local people still use this water source for swimming and gathering, showing how these cenotes remain part of everyday life in the region.

Getting to the water requires descending about 9 meters steeply, so prepare for this physical challenge and wear proper footwear. The water stays consistently cool year-round, so bring swimwear and expect to take time adjusting to the temperature.

The water surface acts like a mirror, reflecting the surrounding limestone walls perfectly and giving the place a quiet, almost surreal beauty. This visual effect makes the spot memorable for visitors who come to swim or dive.
