The Saruq Al Hadid Archaeological Museum displays thousands of metal artifacts, weapons, tools, and jewels discovered in the desert region of Dubai.
The museum site was uncovered in 2002 when Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum identified iron slag deposits while conducting an aerial survey.
The museum building, formerly the residence of Sheikh Juma Bin Maktoum Al Maktoum from 1928, represents traditional Arabic architectural elements combined with modern features.
Visitors can experience interactive exhibits, participate in simulated archaeological excavations, and follow guided tours with detailed explanations of the ancient metalworking processes.
The museum houses a notable gold ring adorned with snake motifs that served as the inspiration for the Dubai Expo 2020 logo design.
