Infinity Bridge, Steel arch bridge in Dubai Creek, United Arab Emirates
The Infinity Bridge is a steel arch crossing that spans Dubai Creek, featuring a distinctive 42-meter-high arch structure and six traffic lanes in each direction for smooth vehicle movement. The crossing connects both sides of the waterway and significantly increases capacity compared to previous routes.
Construction started in 2018 as part of the Al Shindagha Corridor Project to improve traffic flow across Dubai Creek. The project finished in early 2022 and added significantly to the total traffic capacity available.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum presided over the inauguration ceremony, marking another step in Dubai's infrastructure development program.
The crossing provides smooth driving conditions with dedicated lanes for traffic flow in both directions. Drivers should note that peak hours can bring congestion, making alternative routes useful to consider.
The bridge deck construction was completed in eight months, with casting cycles reduced from ten days to less than six days per segment.
