Maidens Hotel
Maidens Hotel is a large white-facade building in Delhi with architecture from its founding era. It features large windows, curved arches, shiny marble floors, elegant light fixtures, and bright hallways with spacious arched windows.
The hotel was founded in 1903 and was one of the few buildings in Delhi offering Western standards at that time, with modern amenities like electric lighting and a fireproof garage. Before the Imperial Hotel opened in 1936, this was the most luxurious place to stay in the city.
The hotel's name comes from its founding era and reminds visitors of the history connected to the place. The gardens and building style reflect an earlier period, with architecture and details that still speak to that time today.
The hotel sits about ten minutes by car from the city center and is easily reached via a nearby metro station, with car services available to popular attractions. All rooms have modern features like flat-screen TVs, safes, and charging ports, with large well-equipped bathrooms and free parking for guests.
Owner Mr. J. Maiden managed the hotel himself, ensuring Western standards that made it popular with officials and high-ranking visitors during British rule. A guest who returned after 12 years noted the accommodations felt equally comfortable and expressed hope to return soon.
