Pakistan Air Force Museum, Military aviation museum in Gulshan Town, Pakistan
The Pakistan Air Force Museum is an aviation museum at PAF Base Faisal in Gulshan Town, displaying more than fifty aircraft as well as radar systems and missiles. The exhibits spread across outdoor areas and several covered exhibition halls that also present smaller pieces of equipment.
The museum opened in 1990 inside two former British hangars at PAF Base Drigh Road under the direction of Air Commander Usman Ghani. The collection later moved to its current location at PAF Base Faisal.
The galleries display squadron names and insignia on the walls, along with uniforms and personal items from former pilots. A separate room shows old radio equipment and navigation instruments once used in the cockpits.
The site opens daily and hours extend during the weekend. Some aircraft stand on a level outdoor surface, while other exhibits are housed in several covered areas.
Among the exhibits is a Vickers VC.1 Viking once used by Mohammed Ali Jinnah. Captured aircraft from India, Afghanistan and Iraq also stand on the grounds.
