Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament

Medieval Times is a dinner theater in a castle-like building where knights perform horseback combat while guests dine. The venue features a large arena with staged sword fighting, jousting, and other period-style competitions throughout the meal.

The venue opened in Kissimmee in 1983, building on concepts created by José Montaner in Spain during the 1960s. The idea combined live action performances with medieval-style meals to create an entertainment experience.

Each performance displays European traditions through tournaments, falconry, and horsemanship in action. Guests watch knights demonstrate their fighting skills with real weapons and horses in choreographed sequences.

The meal consists of four courses served during a roughly two-hour performance. Vegetarian options are available if you request them ahead of your visit.

The fighters use real weapons and ride actual horses during the combat scenes, adding genuine risk and skill rather than pure theatrical illusion. The horses and riders receive specialized training to handle the intensity of multiple daily performances.
