Salmon Bay Beach

The beach forms part of D'Entrecasteaux National Park, which was established in 1980 to protect the coastal landscapes of Western Australia.

Local fishermen gather at Salmon Bay Beach during specific seasons to catch Australian salmon, following long-standing fishing traditions.

The beach requires a short walk through dunes from the parking area and visitors should bring location beacons due to limited mobile coverage.

From September to June, the beach's whale watching platform at Tookulup allows visitors to observe migrating whales in the Southern Ocean.
