Mona Vale Beach

Mona Vale Beach is a swimming beach in Sydney's Northern Beaches that stretches approximately one kilometer along the coast. A prominent rock platform in the middle creates two distinct areas with different wave conditions on each side.

This beach has developed naturally over centuries with a high shale cliff forming its southern boundary. The rock formations have shaped the wave patterns and character of the place throughout time.

Visitors will find parking, cafes, and restrooms near the Surf Life Saving Club at the northern end. The area has a children's playground and an ocean-fed lap pool for all ages and abilities.

A natural gully beside the rock platform creates unusual water movements and wave patterns not found elsewhere. These special conditions result from the local geology and make this location distinct from other nearby beaches.
