Melaka Crocodile Farm, Crocodile and wildlife park in Ayer Keroh, Malaysia
Melaka Crocodile Farm is a wildlife facility covering several hectares and housing crocodiles of multiple species alongside snakes, birds, and small mammals. The park includes sections with miniature building replicas and various enclosures designed to educate visitors about the animals and regional biodiversity.
The park was established in 1987 as a local initiative that grew into one of Malaysia's largest crocodile facilities. This growth reflected increasing interest in wildlife conservation and research throughout the region.
The Miniature Malaysia section displays scale replicas of national monuments, including Parliament Building and National Mosque, representing Malaysian architectural heritage. These models give visitors a glimpse of the country's landmark buildings in a compact space.
The facility operates during daytime hours and offers guided tours plus animal demonstrations for visitors. Wear comfortable shoes and prepare for hot, humid weather, as most of the park is outdoors.
King, a saltwater crocodile in the collection, is known for its exceptional size and draws considerable visitor attention. This specimen represents the diversity of reptiles that can be found within the park.
