Capilla San Eduardo, Chapel in Llao Llao area, Bariloche, Argentina.
Capilla San Eduardo is a stone chapel in the Llao Llao area with cypress wood on its facade and a roof covered with larch shingles. A pointed bell tower at the front gives the building its distinctive appearance.
Architect Alejandro Bustillo designed the chapel, which was completed in 1938 through a donation from Juana G. De Devoto. The building was constructed on land dedicated to nature protection.
The interior walls feature stained glass windows created by local artists and religious scenes depicting the life of Saint Edward. This artistic decoration makes the space a place where faith and craftsmanship come together.
The chapel is accessible by public transport and located in an area with good connections to the surrounding region. Its position on a hillside provides good views of the surrounding landscape and is reached by stone steps.
The chapel sits on a raised platform near famous sites like Hotel Llao Llao and Puerto Pañuelo. From this elevated position, visitors have a special view of Lake Nahuel Huapi.
