Puyehue National Park

The park extends over 220,000 acres of volcanic terrain, featuring thermal springs, evergreen forests, and multiple rivers within the Andes mountain range.

Founded in 1941, the park stands as part of the Reserve of Temperate Rainy Forest Biospheres, connecting Chile and Argentina through Cardenal Antonio Samoré Pass.

The regional gastronomy combines Mapuche traditions with German influences, particularly evident in dishes such as curanto and locally produced fruit pastries.

The park divides into three sections - Aguas Calientes, Anticura, and Antillanca - each with dedicated ranger stations and specific recreational facilities.

The Antillanca ski center operates on the Casablanca volcano slopes, while natural thermal baths rich in minerals flow throughout the Aguas Calientes area.
