Cascada Chachín

Cascada Chachín is a waterfall in Lanín National Park that plunges 30 meters down a rocky cliff face. The water crashes over natural stone formations surrounded by dense Valdivian Forest.

The falls formed over millions of years as flowing water carved through the mountain landscape of the Andes. Geological processes have continuously shaped the terrain where the waterfall exists today.

The waterfall serves as a meeting point for nature photographers and outdoor enthusiasts who gather to document the natural features of Patagonia.

You can reach the waterfall by hiking from the nearby parking area, which takes about 30 minutes on foot. Boat tours from Lake Lacar offer another way to access the falls.

A wooden observation platform lets visitors view the falls from several angles safely and comfortably. The platform helps protect the surrounding forest from foot traffic damage.
