Pantai Tirang, Sand beach in Tugurejo, Indonesia
Tirang Beach extends across 240 hectares of coastline, featuring dark sand shores and strong waves alongside the Java Sea waters.
The beach originated from a small island that disappeared due to coastal erosion, transforming the area into the current shoreline formation.
Local fishermen maintain their traditional practices at Tirang Beach, casting nets and lines to catch species like Dokan, Sembilan, and Blanak fish.
The entrance fee is 5,000 rupiah per person, with additional parking costs, and visitors can access the beach through Jendral Sudirman Street from Semarang.
The beach contains a network of mature mangrove trees that serve as natural barriers against coastal erosion while supporting marine ecosystems.
