The one-kilometer stretch of golden sand extends along the Atlantic coast, framed by orange clay cliffs and pine trees at the top.
The Portuguese authorities recognized the beach's exceptional quality by awarding it both Blue and Gold Flags multiple times between 2006 and 2017.

Visitors can access changing rooms, showers, sunbed rentals, and several restaurants while lifeguards patrol the beach from May through October.
The natural stream of Ribeira de Santa Eulália flows into the ocean near the beach, creating distinct patterns in the sand during low tide.
