Al-Rifa'i Mosque, Islamic mosque in Cairo, Egypt.

The mosque features intricate marble patterns on walls, granite columns at the entrance gate, and two slender minarets overlooking the surrounding area.

Construction began in 1869 under Khoshiyar Hanim, mother of Khedive Ismail, and was completed in 1912 during the reign of Khedive Abbas Hilmi II.

The mosque serves as a royal mausoleum, containing the tombs of Khedive Ismail, King Farouk, and other members of the Muhammad Ali dynasty.

The mosque opens daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with free entry for Arabs and Egyptians, while foreign visitors pay 180 Egyptian pounds.

This mosque marks the first use of cement in Islamic architecture in Egypt and incorporates Gothic window designs and cross-shaped decorative elements.
