Grand Rounds National Scenic Byway

The Grand Rounds National Scenic Byway is a loop route spanning roughly 50 miles that connects seven different Minneapolis neighborhoods. The path provides separate lanes for cyclists and pedestrians throughout the entire circuit.

The route was developed during the 1930s Great Depression by the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board working with the Civilian Conservation Corps. This project created green spaces that continue shaping the city today.

The route connects parks where residents walk, jog, and spend time with family, weaving green spaces into daily city life. These places show how Minneapolis values outdoor access for everyone in the community.
