Anima Garden, Botanical garden in Marrakech, Morocco.
Anima Garden is a three-hectare garden in Marrakech that combines landscape design with contemporary art installations placed throughout the grounds. Sculptures sit among Mediterranean and native plant species, creating a setting where nature and art intersect.
The garden was founded in 2016 by André Heller, an Austrian multimedia artist, who selected this location for its views of the Atlas Mountains. Heller brought his artistic vision directly to the natural landscape.
The garden merges European design principles with Moroccan landscaping traditions, visible in how plants are arranged and how spaces flow together. Walking through the paths, you notice how these two approaches exist side by side.
The site is reachable by shuttle service from central Marrakech, making it easy to visit. You can take various routes through the grounds and spend time exploring at your own pace.
The grounds contain more than 250 plant species while framing views of Jbel Toubkal, North Africa's highest peak. This combination of botanical diversity and mountain backdrop is rarely found together in one location.
