The Arts Factory, Art gallery in Las Vegas, US
The Arts Factory is an art gallery and creative workspace in a neighborhood of Las Vegas known for its galleries and studios. The building has open rooms with simple surfaces, where visitors can walk close to paintings, sculptures, and crafts made by local artists.
James Henninger founded the place in 1991, turning an older commercial building into a shared home for artists. Over the following decades, the project helped anchor the growth of the surrounding Arts District as more creative businesses moved nearby.
The building works as a meeting point for people who make and look at art, with openings and performances that bring visitors into close contact with painters, photographers, and other creators. On event evenings, the ground floor feels like a busy indoor street, where conversations between strangers often start in front of a canvas or a studio door.
The entrance is on East Charleston Boulevard, and the interior is arranged over multiple levels that are easy to explore on foot. Because many studios stay open into the evening, a late afternoon visit gives you time to meet artists and see the space without feeling rushed.
Some of the studios still show traces of the building's earlier commercial life, such as worn floors or old service doors now covered with paint and posters. You can also find artist-created gifts and small works at prices that make it possible to leave with an original piece rather than a souvenir.
