The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod, Observation tower and casino complex in Las Vegas, United States
The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod is a hotel complex with casino and observation tower in Las Vegas, United States. The structure reaches 350 meters tall and offers gaming floors, restaurants, and amusement rides on the rooftop.
Skidmore Owings Merrill designed the tower, which opened in April 1996 after overcoming a fire during construction. The complex evolved into a landmark at the northern end of the Strip.
The tower shortens its original name to STRAT and combines gambling with views in classic Las Vegas style. Guests use the structure both for excitement and quiet moments while looking out over the desert.
Visitors can buy combination tickets that include access to the observation platform, amusement rides, and gaming areas, with special rates in the morning and evening. The height makes weather-related closures possible, so checking ahead is worthwhile.
SkyJump allows controlled free falls from the 108th floor, with participants descending 253 meters to a landing pad at ground level. The Top of the World restaurant rotates around its axis and creates changing views of the city and surrounding landscape during meals.
