Adventuredome, Indoor amusement park in Las Vegas Strip, US
Adventuredome is a covered theme park under a pink glass dome in Las Vegas, housing 25 rides and game areas across roughly five acres. The facility includes several roller coasters, carousels, and arcade zones distributed among artificial rock formations and walkways.
The park opened in August 1993 as Grand Slam Canyon and changed its name to Adventuredome four years later. The facility was built as an expansion of the Circus Circus Hotel to offer year-round entertainment regardless of outdoor conditions.
The space mixes carnival games with rides in a setting of artificial rock formations and desert cacti. Families gather around game booths where prizes hang from the ceilings, and the Canyon Blaster coaster weaves through the scene overhead.
The park sits inside the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino and opens year-round with controlled indoor temperature. The dome protects visitors from extreme summer heat and allows operation even during outdoor wind or rain.
The dome uses more than 8600 glass panels, each weighing around 300 pounds (136 kg), held by a teal space frame. This design reduces the need for internal support columns and lets rides swing freely through the space.
