Al Maigliah Market Center, Shopping mall in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Al Maigliah Market Center is a shopping mall in the ad-Dirah area of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It consists of four buildings with around 1,000 shops, plus offices, apartments, and a parking garage for about 2,000 cars.
The market was built between 1988 and 1992 as part of the second phase of the Qasr Al Hukm District Development Project. It replaced an older marketplace that had grown in the area after the city walls were dismantled in the 1950s.
The market is named after the old Mu'aykaliyah quarter that once stood here. Today, each building has its own focus: one sells men's clothing and fabrics, another offers oud and oriental perfumes, a third specializes in women's and children's wear, and the fourth features French perfumes and brands.
The market is in the western part of the Qasr al-Hukm District, near the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque. Visitors can enter from several surrounding streets, and the complex has elevators, escalators, and restrooms for convenience.
The market was one of the first enclosed shopping centers in Saudi Arabia. It also has a three-story parking garage and dedicated elevators for wholesale customers to load and unload goods.
