Foxfire Mountain Themed Adventure Park occupies a 150-acre (61 ha) parcel in Pearl Valley near Dunne's Creek, in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. Its two zip line courses include Goliath, which hangs 475 feet above the ground, and the grounds also hold a 60-foot climbing wall, a rope obstacle course, a free fall, bear crawler tours, hiking trails and a suspension bridge.

The land was once home to Cherokee peoples who lived in this mountain region for centuries. Later, mining operations took place before the area transformed into a recreational destination.

The name comes from local lore: settlers tied an oil-soaked rag to a captured fox's tail, set it alight and let the animal run, burning off hazardous undergrowth. The Thomas family farmed here and ran a blacksmith shop for seven generations. The cemetery of Judge Benjamin Owens, the local "hanging judge", his son and 20 unnamed others is kept by the current owners.
