Harrisburg Covered Bridge, Wooden covered bridge in Sevier County, United States.
The Harrisburg Covered Bridge spans the East Fork of Little Pigeon River with a king post truss design measuring 88 feet in total length.
Built in 1875 after a flood destroyed the previous McNutts Bridge, local residents contributed 50 dollars and labor to construct this new passage.
The bridge facilitated movement for early settlers, including carpenters and blacksmiths who established workshops near the crossing during the late nineteenth century.
The structure allows vehicle traffic with a weight restriction of 15 tons and maintains an inner width of 10 feet for daily crossings.
The bridge walls incorporate tinplate materials, demonstrating construction techniques from the 1875 period in Tennessee bridge architecture.
