West Fifth Avenue Apartments Historic District is a dense group of 30 contributing brick apartment blocks in a residential section of Gary, Indiana. The buildings, mostly four stories tall, were built between 1922 and 1928 and show Colonial Revival, Renaissance Revival, Late Gothic Revival and Commercial style architecture.

The buildings were constructed between 1922 and 1928 as the city of Gary was developing its residential areas. The district received recognition on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The district's name comes from West Fifth Avenue, the street it faces in Gary's residential grid. The 30 brick apartment blocks, built 1922–1928, mix Colonial Revival, Renaissance Revival, Late Gothic Revival and Commercial styles, so a walk along the street shows the range of 1920s apartment design in one dense group.
