Langone Park, Waterfront park in North End, Boston, United States
Langone Park is a waterfront park in Boston's North End with a baseball field, six bocce courts, a playground, and a multi-sport turf area facing the harbor. The grounds span roughly 4.5 acres with each section designed for different types of recreation.
The park was established in 1973, replacing North End Beach, a public bathing facility that opened in 1893. The location sits near where the Great Molasses Flood occurred in 1919.
The bocce courts reflect the Italian roots of the North End, where residents gather regularly to play and socialize. You can watch these traditional games happen throughout the warmer months.
The grounds are well lit in the evening and easy to reach by public transportation. North Station and several bus stops are very close by.
In 2019, construction workers found a buried treasure box from The Secret hunt on the park grounds. The discovery was later featured on a TV show about hidden treasures and mysteries.
