The Maloof family opened this gaming establishment in December 1994 as the first hotel-casino in North Las Vegas, bringing commercial gaming to the area. Station Casinos purchased the property in 2001 and continued operating it for the following years.

The venue attracted video poker enthusiasts who came specifically for its machines, which delivered winning hands more frequently than players expected elsewhere. This reputation drew a dedicated crowd that valued the gaming experience over typical casino entertainment.

Guests could use the outdoor pool, take advantage of valet parking, and access the 24-hour front desk for check-in or assistance. The property sat on North Rancho Drive, making it straightforward to locate and approach by car.

The property housed the Pepsi Ice Arena, an ice hockey facility that set it apart from every other casino in Las Vegas and operated until 2020. This unusual pairing of gaming and ice sports gave the place a character unlike typical casino destinations.
