The Gardens at the Las Vegas Springs Preserve, Botanical garden in Las Vegas, United States.
The Springs Preserve Gardens is a botanical garden in Las Vegas featuring hundreds of desert plant species from the southwestern region. The layout includes multiple themed sections that show different types of desert plants and their growing conditions.
The garden began in 1982 as the Kiwanis Water Conservation Park with around 300 desert plants. It relocated to the Springs Preserve in 2007, where it has expanded and developed since then.
The Gardens demonstrate how people can grow plants adapted to harsh desert conditions while using minimal water. Visitors see examples of landscaping that works with nature instead of against it.
The paths through the Gardens are easy to walk and the layout is designed to welcome visitors with limited mobility. Raised planting beds allow you to view plants comfortably without much bending.
The Mojave Collection features plants grown from seeds collected at construction sites and urban development areas around the region. This approach rescues desert species that would otherwise disappear from the landscape.
