The Nacoochee Valley Historic District is a National Register district in White County, Georgia, set in a valley enclosed by Mount Yonah and Sal Mountain. At its western edge stands the Nacoochee Mound, 17 feet tall and 70 feet in diameter. The district holds houses built from the 1820s onward, among them the Richardson-Lumsden house, the Williams-Dyer Residence and the Nichols-Hunnicutt-Hardman House.

This area was inhabited long before European settlement, with evidence of early occupation visible in an earthen mound that still stands today. The preserved houses were built during the 1800s and represent how the community developed through that century.

Houses throughout the valley display a mix of 19th-century building styles, from Italian Villa design to Gothic Revival forms. Walking through the district, you can see how different architectural choices shaped homes across generations.

The district lies in White County, with the Nacoochee Mound at the western edge of the valley and Mount Yonah and Sal Mountain enclosing it. The Richardson-Lumsden house, the Williams-Dyer Residence and the Nichols-Hunnicutt-Hardman House stand at separate points, so a car covers the distance between them.
