مرقد بهلول الكوفي

The mausoleum of Bahlool contains the tomb of the renowned ascetic Bahlool ibn Amr Qasir Al-Sairafi within the old Karkh cemetery of Baghdad.

The structure was rebuilt in 1893 under the direction of Governor Kazem Pasha, preserving the final resting place of the companion of Imam Musa al-Kadhim.

The mausoleum serves as a meeting point for different religious traditions, with both Muslim visitors and Sikh pilgrims coming to honor their respective spiritual connections.

Located approximately 2 kilometers from central Baghdad, the mausoleum stands near other religious sites including the shrine of Sheikh Maruf al-Karkhi and Baba Nanak's memorial.

The tomb holds particular significance as it represents the resting place of a man who chose apparent madness as a means to protect his religious convictions.
