Bukit Tinggi

Bukit Tinggi is a hill resort located near Bentong sitting at around 800 meters elevation, with French-style architecture and Japanese-themed gardens spread across the property. The resort blends European buildings with natural forest areas and multiple themed zones.

Development began in the 1990s when Berjaya Corporation transformed the land into a European-themed destination in the Malaysian highlands. This project marked one of the early resort developments that combined Western architectural concepts with a tropical mountain setting.

The Japanese Village presents traditional tea ceremonies set within Malaysian highlands, offering visitors a glimpse into Japanese customs. The setting blends cultural practices with the local mountain landscape in a way that feels integrated rather than separated.

The resort sits along the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Expressway, making it accessible from the capital with a straightforward drive. Visitors should expect cooler temperatures at the higher elevation and bring appropriate clothing for mountain conditions.

The resort is home to one of Asia's first European-style wellness spas, which pioneered French architectural design combined with tropical mountain climate. This spa approach was revolutionary for the region at the time it opened.
