Sharjah Art Museum

The Sharjah Art Museum occupies three levels within a building that incorporates traditional Islamic architectural elements in the Arts Area of Al-Shuwaihiyeen neighborhood.

The museum initiated its operations in April 1997, establishing itself as the first dedicated art institution in the United Arab Emirates cultural landscape.

The permanent collection includes modern and contemporary Arab art from regional creators, featuring works by Abdulqader Al Rais and Faiq Hassan on the first floor.

Visitors can access the museum without entrance fees from Saturday through Thursday between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, with Friday hours from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

The museum maintains a continuous exhibition program that integrates art from Mediterranean Arab artists with international contemporary works throughout its galleries.
