Maja Grykat e Hapëta, Mountain summit in Bjeshkët e Namuna, Albania

Maja Grykat e Hapëta rises to 2,625 meters above sea level, making it the third highest peak in Albania within the Majet e Zabores mountain group.

Between 1962 and 1979, Albanian mountaineer Aleksandër Bojaxhi documented different local names for this peak during his expeditions through the region.

Local communities from Valbona refer to the peak as Maja e Madhe, while residents of Curraj call it Maja e Lugbatit, reflecting regional naming traditions.

The summit stands between Valbona Valley National Park and Theth National Park, with access points from the cities of Bajram Curri, Tropoje, and Kukës.

The mountain features a vertical separation of 815 meters and consists primarily of Triassic limestone formations that create cliffs up to 800 meters deep.
