Maja e Hekurave

Maja e Hekurave is a summit in the Albanian Alps sitting at 2561 meters above limestone terrain marked by sharp ridges and steep rock faces. The landscape features numerous karst formations that shape the terrain throughout the region.

The ascent demands proper mountaineering equipment and experience with steep terrain and exposed rock. Visitors should prepare for demanding physical conditions and check local conditions before attempting the climb.

The peak contains underground water systems that flow into the Valbona River and feed the region's water network. These hidden waterways play a key role in how water moves through the surrounding valleys.
