Parque Arrieta

Parque Arrieta is a historical monument set on hillside grounds with stone staircases, winding paths, and fountains surrounded by European sculptures and lush vegetation. The estate includes a two-story mansion amid landscaped gardens decorated with artistic elements.

The mansion within the park was where Mariano Egaña drafted the Chilean Constitution of 1833. This historic moment established the estate as a pivotal location in Chile's early nation-building.

The site once hosted Chile's first chamber music concerts and held one of the country's largest libraries, which was later donated to the National Library.

The estate sits near Avenida José Arrieta in Peñalolén and currently houses the SEK International School. Visitors should check accessibility beforehand, as the grounds are now part of a school campus.

The brick entrance wall features four muses representing different arts and disciplines. These allegorical figures, along with statues of Apollo, Diana, and stone lions, form a distinct artistic identity for the estate.
