Monumento al Inmaculado Corazón de María

The white marble statue of Virgin Mary stands 6.5 meters tall upon three columns, each reaching twelve meters in height at the Inmaculado square.

The monument, completed in 1956, remained in storage for forty years due to its four-ton weight before finding its current location in 1996.

The pedestal features three columns forming an equilateral triangle, representing the first three mysteries of the Holy Rosary and the Holy Trinity.

The monument stands near the intersection of Brazil Avenue and Army Avenue, marking the beginning of Brazil Descent in the Lima district.

Pope Francis visited this monument on January 18, 2018, during his Peru trip, stopping to give a blessing and prayer at the square.
