Manuel Ocampo purchased the building from British company Boulton & Paul Ltd, specialists in wooden constructions, and had it shipped to Argentina.
Victoria Ocampo transformed this summer residence into a meeting place for writers including Jorge Luis Borges, Gabriela Mistral, and Igor Stravinsky.
The cultural center offers guided theatrical tours, temporary art exhibitions, conferences, musical performances, and theatrical productions throughout the year.
The structure combines iron and wood materials in its construction, demonstrating early 20th-century British prefabricated building techniques in South America.
