Mar del Plata Water Tower

The Tudor-style water tower rises 88 meters above sea level, featuring a glass-enclosed top floor that provides views across Mar del Plata and the Atlantic Ocean.

Constructed in 1943 by architect C. Lange, the tower represents a period of substantial infrastructure development in Mar del Plata during the mid-20th century.

The tower incorporates Nordic architectural elements and medieval design features, reflecting European influences in Argentine urban infrastructure of the 1940s.

Visitors can access the tower through 194 steps or use the elevator, with free guided tours in Spanish available daily at 2 PM, 3 PM, and 4 PM.

The structure illuminates in lavender colors each evening, creating a distinct silhouette against the coastal city's night sky.
