ESMA Museum and Site of Memory – Former Clandestine Center of Detention, Torture and Extermination, Memorial museum in Buenos Aires, Argentina

The ESMA Museum occupies the former Naval School of Mechanics building, preserving the original structure where thousands of people were detained between 1976 and 1983.

The Officers' Quarters building served as both a residence for Navy officers and a clandestine detention center during Argentina's military dictatorship from 1976 to 1983.

The museum presents testimonies from survivors of the 1985 Trials of the Juntas, contributing to Argentina's process of understanding and reconciling with its past.

Located at Avenida del Libertador 8151, the museum offers guided tours in Spanish, English, and Portuguese from Thursday to Sunday between 10:00 and 17:00.

The building remains unaltered since its conversion to a museum in 2015, maintaining its status as judicial evidence for human rights violation trials.
