Edificio Bunge y Born is a Flemish Gothic office building at the corner of 25 de Mayo and Lavalle, in San Nicolás. Its narrow Lavalle front rises through nine floors, while the slope toward Avenida Alem adds a full lower level. On the Alem side, a projecting volume starts at the second floor and ends in a crown above the setback that begins at the seventh. Pointed arches line the recova, and the main entrance on the corner holds El sembrador, a limestone statue.

Bunge y Born, founded in 1884 by Ernesto Bunge and Jorge Born, two immigrants from Antwerp, commissioned architect Pablo Naeff in 1923 to design this headquarters on Lavalle Street, on the former bank of the Río de la Plata. The municipality approved the plans that year and the Piquet y Arano firm built it, completing the work in 1926. Naeff later designed the firm's Rosario headquarters in Art Deco style. Since 2000 the building has been administered by the Fundación Bunge y Born, and since 2003 it has housed Bunge Argentina.

The facade mixes Gothic details such as balustrades, mouldings and crestings with reliefs of wheat sheaves, ploughing tools, lions, warriors and ships, alluding to the founders' Flemish homeland and to the grain trade. The name recalls the Antwerp origins of Ernesto Bunge and Jorge Born, who founded the company in 1884.

The building faces Avenida Leandro N. Alem and calle 25 de Mayo, with the main entrance on the ochava at the Lavalle and 25 de Mayo corner. The slope of the old river bank adds a full floor toward Alem, so the arcade of pointed arches along that avenue sits lower than the Lavalle side. The offices are not open to visitors; the facade and the Sembrador statue are seen from the public sidewalk.

The interior features Carrara marble finishes and ornately designed boardrooms decorated with European ceramic pieces. These details showcase the highest standards of 1920s corporate architecture and craftsmanship.
