Torre Fortabat, Modern office building in Puerto Madero, Argentina
Torre Fortabat is a modern office building in Puerto Madero featuring reflective blue glass facades and high-end materials like Blue Bahia granite and White Sivek marble. The structure rises to approximately 85 meters and houses multiple floors served by four central elevators with access points on three of its sides.
The tower was completed in 1995 as one of Buenos Aires' first intelligent office buildings. Its construction marked the renewal of a previously abandoned site in the Puerto Madero waterfront area.
A sculpture called 'Protective Angel' by artist Pérez Celis greets visitors at the entrance, providing a moment of artistic reflection. This work stands as a deliberate counterpoint to the building's sleek corporate design.
The building is accessible from three of its four sides, making it easy to find an entrance depending on your approach. The central elevator core helps with orientation once inside.
The tower incorporates an integrated digital network that manages communications and security systems throughout its office spaces. This technological innovation was ahead of its time when the building opened.
