Edificio Telecom, Corporate office building in Puerto Madero, Argentina

Edificio Telecom is an office building in Puerto Madero with a central core and two east-west volumes. The taller north body faces Dársena Norte with a curved front and vertical aluminum profiles; the shorter south body has horizontal aluminum profiles and faces the docks, opposite the Malecón building 2 km away.

The building opened in 1998 and marked the beginning of modern office development in Puerto Madero. Its completion contributed to transforming the former commercial port area into a contemporary business district.

The lobby lies against one side of the central core, where a curved wall of wood panels is framed by a sandblasted glass wall with geometric compositions; the lift doors open onto this wall. On the 13th floor, the company presidency occupies a desk area decorated by Hampton-Rivoira y Asociados, with walls covered in fabrics framed by mahogany boards.

The fifteen-floor building contains six elevators and houses multiple corporate offices arranged around central corridors with mahogany and frosted glass partitions. This layout provides clear orientation and efficient space utilization throughout the structure.

The steel structure was supplied by a lot owned by the developer IRSA, and the building was erected by Benito Roggio Construcciones for Telecom Argentina. Its two bodies are offset east-west around a central core: the taller north block faces Dársena Norte, while the lower south block looks toward the docks, opposite the Malecón building about 2 km away.
