Edificio Telecom, Corporate office building in Puerto Madero, Argentina
Edificio Telecom is an office building in Puerto Madero featuring two connected sections, with the northern part displaying curved facades and vertical aluminum profiles. The southern section incorporates horizontal elements, creating a balanced visual composition across the structure.
The building opened in 1998 and marked the beginning of modern office development in Puerto Madero. Its completion contributed to transforming the former commercial port area into a contemporary business district.
The building entrance opens through a granite plaza with a fountain leading to a lobby decorated with wooden panels and geometric sandblasted glass patterns. These design elements make visitors feel they are entering a refined professional space.
The fifteen-floor building contains six elevators and houses multiple corporate offices arranged around central corridors with mahogany and frosted glass partitions. This layout provides clear orientation and efficient space utilization throughout the structure.
The structure was among Argentina's first tall office buildings to use steel as its primary construction material, setting new standards for commercial architecture. This innovative approach influenced the design of many subsequent projects across the city.
