Fortabat Art Collection

Fortabat Art Collection is an art museum in Puerto Madero with seven galleries spanning 6,000 square meters covering various artistic themes from family portraits to modern work. The building features large windows and mobile aluminum awnings that adjust automatically to manage natural light across the exhibition spaces.

The collection was established by Maria Amalia Lacroze de Fortabat, who led Loma Negra, Argentina's largest cement manufacturer. This entrepreneur built her art holdings over decades before opening them to the public.

The collection displays works by international artists like Turner and Dalí alongside Argentine masters such as Berni and Soldi. Visitors can explore how Argentine artists connect to broader artistic movements while developing their own visual language.

The museum is located in Puerto Madero and opens Tuesday through Sunday, with reduced admission on certain days of the week. The building is easy to access and offers views over the city's historic dock areas.
