Museo Arqueológico Argentino Ambato, Archaeological museum in La Falda, Argentina.
The Museo Arqueológico Argentino Ambato displays more than 300 archaeological artifacts, including vessels, funerary urns, pipes, and masks from ancient cultures.
Founded in 1987 through collaboration between collector Aroldo Rosso, La Falda Municipality, and the Córdoba Province Government in a 1930s summer residence.
The museum collection represents multiple indigenous cultures including Ampayango, Totoral, Ayampitín, Tafí, Ciénaga, and Aguada through their archaeological remains.
The museum opens daily from 7:00 to 22:00 during summer months and from 7:00 to 21:00 during the rest of the year.
In 2008, thieves stole 95% of the collection, but coordinated operations between Interpol and Cultural Heritage Protection Department recovered numerous pieces.
