Pasaje Pam, Long gallery in downtown Rosario, Argentina
Pasaje Pam is a covered passage in downtown Rosario that connects Santa Fe Street with Cordoba Street through a multi-story building. The gallery runs through the structure creating a sheltered route for pedestrian traffic between these two important streets.
Construction occurred in two phases starting in 1899 and completing in 1914 when the Cordoba Street exit was added. This expansion transformed the passage into its current form connecting both major streets.
The passage hosts rotating art exhibitions and literary events where visitors encounter works by local creators. Artists and writers regularly use the galleries to share their work with the community.
You can enter from Santa Fe Street or Cordoba Street, making it easy to access from either direction depending on your route. An elevator near the Cordoba entrance helps you move between different levels of the building.
The passage contains one of the earliest elevators installed in Rosario, added during the second construction phase. This lift maintains its original design with the motor mechanism located underneath, making it a working piece of early mechanical technology.
